Managing Partner Brazil, McKinsey

Vicente is a Senior Partner at the São Paulo Office of McKinsey. He joined McKinsey as an Associate in 1997 and, since then, has focused on clients in the industrial sector, serving them in a wide range of topics, primarily corporate strategy, M&A, governance and major corporate transformations. He created and leads the Advanced Industries Practice in Latin America. Currently, Vicente is the Managing Partner responsible for McKinsey’s offices in Brazil. Relevant examples of his most recent experience include:
* Developing and leading major corporate transformation programs for over a dozen of the largest industrial companies in Brazil
* Developing and implementing an Advanced Analytics strategy and a performance improvement program for a major telecom company with operations in Latin America
* Developing and implementing a growth strategy for four large conglomerates in Latin America
* Leading a transforming cost-cutting effort for a major Brazilian airline
* Leading a performance improvement program for two of the largest oil companies in Latin America
* Leading a major turnaround program for two leading international utilities with operations in Latin America
* Leading a major turnaround for an important European agribusiness company active in Latin America
* Developing and leading a performance improvement program for a Brazilian bank
* Developing a strategy to fight the Zika virus in Brazil
* Developing a new governance model for a major Brazilian consulting firm
* Leading dozens of studies in several countries, such as Portugal, Spain, Canada, United States, Argentina, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Germany and India
Prior to joining McKinsey, Vicente worked for Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), where he was responsible for developing new equipment for deep-water crude production.
Vicente has an MBA with Distinction from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University in Minas Gerais (UFMG), where he graduated first in his class.
He is on the board of MASP, the São Paulo Art Museum, and the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Brazil.
Vicente is a native speaker of Portuguese, with fluent English and Spanish and a working knowledge of French.
