Dr. Timo Möller is a Senior Expert in the Cologne office of McKinsey & Company. He is leading the McKinsey Center for Future Mobility with focus on the strategic questions around the disruptive trends (i.e., connectivity, autonomous driving, electrification, shared mobility). He has led several research projects, e.g., “Automotive Revolution 2030”, “Future of Mobility”, “Monetizing Car Data”. In addition, he has experience in operations (procurement/ product development).
Recent engagements include evaluating the implications of electrification for automotive powertrain supplier and deriving strategic actions, developing disruptive business models to generate revenue from charging infrastructure, designing digital transformation program for premium automotive OEM addressing changes due to connectivity and big data, shaping innovation roadmap of tier 1 auto supplier in face of the disruptive trends in the industry and supporting a global investor on a Joint Venture decision for one of his sensor companies.
Timo holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from RWTH Aachen and a Diploma in Industrial Engineering from Technical University Darmstadt.
