Nicola is a Senior Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Sao Paulo office.
Former Managing Partner for McKinsey in Latin America, he joined the Firm in 1992, and has supported over 100 clients in more than 20 countries in all continents. Before heading McKinsey’s office in the region from 2011 to 2018, Nicola founded the Consumer Goods and Retail Practice in Latin America, which he led from 2003 to 2010.
His work spans different industries – such as consumer, retail, infrastructure, education and health – and covers several topics, including entrepreneur/CEO counselling, corporate and BU strategy, organization, turn-around and transformations, and top line growth.
Passionate about education, his work includes educational reform in Brazil, along with a substantial program to transform primary education in one of the largest Brazilian states.
Strongly interested in community development, Nicola is a current board member for MASP and a former member at FIESP – social council, in Brazil.
Nicola graduated with distinction in Civil Engineering from UFMG (Brazil), and also holds an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He lives in São Paulo with his wife Isa and is an avid sports fan, and food and wine lover.
