Associate Partner at McKinsey’s São Paulo office, Mikael’s work is focused mainly on the Metals and Mining industry in Latin America.
His projects include: M&A strategy for one of the world’s largest nickel producers; corporate strategy for one of the largest engineering and construction companies in Latin America; organizational review for a large cement manufacturer; in addition to other large projects involving pricing strategies, analysis of opportunities and organizational design for agriculture, food, chemicals and construction companies.
Mikael holds a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from Unicamp and an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business. Before joining McKinsey in 2013, he worked for over 5 years in various Latin America countries with equity/fixed income portfolio management and private equity investments. Mikael also worked for over 4 years in Investment Banking/M&A at Santander in Brazil, executing buy side and sell side mandates in agribusiness, steel, energy and food/agro industries.
