Mark Dziersk

Senior Expert and Senior Design Director, McKinsey

Mark Dziersk is a Senior Expert and head of Lunar Chicago. He is a frequent contributor to Fast Company magazine and is responsible for more than 100 design patents, having been the recipient of various awards over his 20+ year career, including Red Dot and IDEA Gold, and recognized as best of category by ID Magazine. Mark is president of Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and the current editor of its Innovation magazine. He is adjunct professor at Kellogg School and McCormick School of Engineering, where he teaches Design Thinking classes.

At LUNAR, a design and innovation agency acquired by McKinsey in May 2015, Mark is a specialist in consumer products design, with a focus on retail and, more precisely, beauty products.  He worked 14 years on the Dove/Unilever “Real beauty” campaign and participated in product, packaging and campaigns launching for many other beauty product brands like Bergdorf Goodman, Kao/ Jergens, John Frieda and L’Oreal. He leads work teams in providing assistance to important clients in the CPG sector, such as Danone, Wrigley, among others and is specialized in applying LUNAR’s exclusive “Innovation Garage”.
