Senior Expert at McKinsey’s New Jersey office, George has over 25 years of experience in S2P and technology and has held several global executive positions, such as CPO, head of SCM UN and global leader of S2P services. Currently he is head of the Operations Practice for the Americas, focused on Procurement.
His recent jobs include leadership in the following projects: (i) P2P operations work front for a global bakery products organization to formulate a comprehensive channel management strategy and design a commodities ranking model that integrates multiple geographies and codes; (ii) analysis to understand and leverage the impact of automation and emerging technologies in S2P operations and staff recruitment of the shared services center for a global leader in health products and systems; (iii) expenditure analysis solution and creation of a commodities ranking model to improve the impact and effectiveness of the solution to be implemented at a large assets firm; and (iv) S2P and Digital work front at one of the largest insurance companies in the US.
George is a Sloan Fellow from London Business School and holds an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India (IIMA). Before joining McKinsey, he was Vice-President of Wipro Ltd., leading the global SCM business unit with a team of over 2,000 employees, providing S2P and P2P operation services to global clients. Over a period of 12 years, George was part of Ariba’s leadership team, developing and implementing the largest S2P platform and technology-enabled services in the world.
